All Hands Volunteers

In 2016 All Hands deployed 38,000 volunteers from 116 countries to 900 separate disaster relief projects.

Grant Analysis: An initial $1 million grant (2007) established All Hands’ core endowment. Annual grants of $25,000 to $50,000 have allowed this then-new 501c3 grow to become the premier disaster-relief organization operating around the globe through volunteers. Clearly a success.

  • Project Size: $6,000,000 annually
  • Grant Amount: $250,000 over five years
  • Strategic Value: Applying American entrepreneurial and technical expertise to the immense logistical problem of deploying volunteers to disasters around the globe

Given the unknowns of the current funding environment, we wanted to be clear with our grant applicants that we may be less likely to fund capital projects, events, projects far outside the Adirondack park, and very large grant requests. If you feel something in those categories deserves our attention, please contact us to discuss further.
