Janet Bliss is a Lake Placid native who grew up in Lake Placid and graduated from Lake Placid High School. She received her B.A. degree in Economics from St. Lawrence University in 1974 and received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law in 1982. Janet has practiced law in Lake Placid since 1984 and also serves as the attorney for the Village of Lake Placid. She is active in community affairs and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Adirondack Health. Janet and her husband Brian are the parents of two sons and grandparents of 5 grandchildren. She enjoys tennis, biking, pickleball, skiing (both downhill and cross-country) and spending time with the grandchildren.
